Donation from Mary

More wonderful donations.
This time we received a parcel from Mary in Upper Beaconsfield Victoria.
This is only one of many, many hexagon blocks.

Donation from Kerryn

I just love going to the post office box and finding a parcel waiting for me.
Well this parcel came in May from Kerryn who lives in Tatong in Victoria.
We have so many generous donators, and it is just lovely to see quilters from out my home state of NSW supporting our wonderful quilting bee.

Thank you Kerryn.

Back On Track

I know it has been a while since we have posted and yes we are still up and running!

For the last twelve months we have been on go slow as I (Suzanne) am dealing with Breast Cancer. We are still accepting donations and working on quilts just a little more slowly for the time being.

I must say that Sew Generous has been receiving lots of wonderful emails and enquires about our very little Online Quilting Bee and what we do here, and it is wonderful to see so many generous quilters out there wanting to help out.
Please, if you have an orphan blocks, quilts tops, leftover backing fabric, batting or binding strips that you don’t know what to do with but want to put to good use, we would love to have them.
We have completed six quilts and they have been delivered to Westmead Children’s Hospital. Yay!

It was a bit of a cold and rainy day but we packed up all the quilts we had completed and drove to Westmead to drop them off.

Now due to privacy polices we could only take a photo of the quilts sitting on the reception desk. But there they are. I will be doing a single post per quilt so that you can see each and every quilt that is donated and the contributors can see where their donations are going too!

Of course while at the Children’s Hospital we HAD to visit Starbucks! Who can pass up a Caramel Macchiato not me and currently not Effie! Oh and they have the most delicious Raspberry and White Chocolate Muffins, so that was also added to the order.

So, our first quilt delivery for 2013, it is very exciting and we look forward to delivering more in the near future.
